I married a Brit (of the English variety) almost 20 years ago and ... well ... I'm still explaining WWII. I kid you not ... And the humour? Well, they do have a cracker of a sense of humour. But they also have a reluctance to let others share it sometimes. 'Others' meaning those who are not British. Even if those 'others' were included in the pink bits at some point.
